Acai Berries
The Brazilians have been eating the exotic Acai Berry from the Acaizeiro Palm Tree for centuries as well as drinking the juice. The berries grow in large bunches at the top of the Palm trees. Acai is one of the world’s most potent anti-oxidant, the fruit is bursting with vitamins, potassium, omega fats, calcium, iron and fibre. Eat Yourself Beautiful is looking to bring it to the UK in various formats and easy ways to eat and incorporate it into your food. The berries are a deep purple colour, larger than a blueberry and taste chocolaty!

Baobab
Baobab is the common name for Adansonia, it grows in Madagascar, Africa and Australia. It is also known as a Monkey Bread Tree, bottle tree or Upside-down tree. Some trees are reputed to be thousand of years old. The fruit is extremely nutritious and is very high in vitamin C. Eat Yourself Beautiful is currently sourcing a food product to incorporate Baobab as a Vitamin C booster.

Chocolate
Chocolate has always been a favourite with most of us. At Eat Yourself Beautiful we love chocolate because it has so much bad press in the past. Chocolate has always been on the ‘NO NO ‘lists’ of many diets and nutritionist. Today we can look at chocolate in a new light, now we can source the Cocoa that is rich in anti-oxidants and select the best processes to retain them. Eat Yourself Beautiful is also sourcing chocolates which have additional supplements added to them.

Coffee Beans
We love coffee!.. So we thought it was essential that we found some that we liked and offered more benefit to us! The team at Eat Yourself Beautiful Ltd is currently sourcing coffee that is high in anti-oxidants at both the green bean stage and after roasting. We have already linked with a famous coffee house and hope to bring this product to you in the near future.
Decaf Coffee
The team have also found a caffeine free coffee that is processed in a unique way. Most processes use chemical solvents to decaffeinate coffee beans, but the one that we have sourced doesn’t use chemicals that harm the environment or your body.

Green Tea
Green tea is the leaves of Camellia Sinensis. The tea originates from China but has become part of the culture in the rest of Asia. Today it has become part of the western tea drinking culture especially here in the UK. Recently Green tea has been subjected to many medical and scientific studies which have revealed that it may lower chances of heart disease and certain types of cancer. Green tea can vary in taste; this can be due to the many different varieties that have been cultured across Asia, variable growing conditions such as soil quality, the processes involved and harvesting at different times. Ultimately the way that you prepare your brew will also affect the taste. Eat Yourself Beautiful aim to source the very best Green tea we can find so you can enjoy its true flavour.

Manuka Honey
Manuka honey is from bees that harvest nectar from the flowers of the Manuka bush. The honey has anti-bacterial properties and has been used in clinical trial for wounds that do not heal. The Maori’s used the Manuka bush for its’ natural medicine due to the high anti-bacterial properties, and parakeets use the leaves of the plant to rid themselves of parasites. The honey that is produced from this bush has a distinct rich flavour. The Waikato Honey Research Unit has been formed by New Zealands University in Waikato, where they are studying the antimicrobobial activity of the honey. Eat Yourself Beautiful is sourcing some honey with high activity levels.

Red Wine
Eat Yourself Beautiful is currently sourcing a wine that is rich in anti-oxidants. Wine is made form the fermentation of grape juice. Population studies have observed that moderate drinkers (two five-ounce servings of wine per day) have a lower risk of heart disease than non-drinkers of wine. Red wines contain polyphenols and which have been shown to be protective against cardiovascular disease and Resveratrol (is a phytoalexin which is produced naturally by the plant when it is under attack from fungi or bacteria) which has been shown to be cardioprotective and be chemoprotective in animal studies.
